At Rush & Associates Psychotherapy and Wellness, clinical supervision is provided by our Clinical Director Shelley Rush, M.A., RP, who is a recognized supervisor by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Supervisees are offered a safe place to monitor the safe and effective use of self in the therapeutic relationship with their clients, discuss difficulties, assess their own self-care and reach clinical decisions for treatment planning.
What you can expect from me
As a supervisor, my goal is for clinicians to gain confidence in their clinical skills, and to identify their areas of strength as well as areas of challenge. You will find my approach to be warm, nonjudgmental and collaborative. I strive to offer a safe place for us to explore therapeutic processes, counter transferences/transferences and ethical dilemmas, to name a few. I work with clinicians to help them look at their work honestly in order to promote clinical growth and positive treatment outcomes.
I offer one-on-one, dyadic and group supervision. Sessions can be in person or virtually through video or phone.
